English Corner 1: Crime involving to P2P downloads!

Recently, a 38-year-old man was caught using P2P file sharing software to share pirated movies. I think you have already read this news yet.

It is a fact that sharing pirated products is illegal. However, some of the people share something illegal through Internet. They used a P2P file sharing software which is called BT (Bit-Torrent) to share and download MP3s, movies and so on.

Why do they like to do that? Some of the people may have no enough money to buy CDs and watch movies, and BT gives them a way to fulfill their needs. Besides, BT is free of charge, convenient and fast. So, they choose to download movies by using BT instead of buying tickets to watch movies.

Until now, more and more people use P2P file sharing software to share and download pirated movies. As a result, the film companies and cinemas lose their incomes.

Anyway, we should respect the intellectual property. Do not share pirated files.
